Sanjay Suri said that I personally wanted to watch Chitrangda
It has been more than 2 years since Onir and Sanjay Suri came together in BAS EK PAL. Though the film wasn't a commercial success, there was critical acclaim from some quarters. In the months gone by, the duo started working on SORRY BHAI which is now getting readied for 28th November release. For both Onir and Sanjay Suri, the film is important since they not just come together as director and actor respectively but also as co–producers of the film along with Vashu Bhagnani.
While these are indeed quality names to be associated with the project, what has also made heads turn is the presence of a certain Chitrangda Singh who has chosen SORRY BHAI as her comeback project. Naturally Sanjay and Onir are excited since it further adds on to the prestige quotient of the film. Of course, they are right in believing that Chitrangda's comeback should manage to create a lot more hype and buzz for the movie, isn't it? ....
'Yes, her comeback after a sabbatical has made a lot of news. It surely has added to the buzz so far', Sanjay Suri makes an honest statement here; 'I personally wanted to watch her in more movies and it's great that she chose ours as her comeback.'
Facing the camera after a while is always a dicey affair. Taking into consideration her 3 year long wait after which Chitrangda started shooting for the film, did she have trouble to be 'on the job' right away or was it a smooth cakewalk?
'I don't how her own inner feelings but for all of us, she was bang on target from the word go', reaffirms Sanjay. Adds Onir, 'With someone of the stature of Shabana Azmi around, I was stunned to see the kind of confidence Chitrangda came with. One expects an actor to get conscious due to presence of such a stalwart but I was amazed with the manner in which she carried herself. She is a complete natural and that was visible more and more once we spent some time in Mauritus.'
