After the amazing Oscar sweep the entire nation is rejoicing the amazing feel of victory, but all’s not done yet because up next is the Filmfare 2009 Awards and here are the nominees.
Best Bollywood movie of 2008: Ghajini
Best Director: Abbas Tyrewala for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na or Ritesh Sidhwani for Rock On! Both have managed to capture the youth with their films
Best Actor: Aamir Khan (Ghajini) unbelievable preparation and an unbelievable performance. Mr. Perfectionist at his best
Best Actress: Priyanka Chopra (Fashion) Priyanka Chopra is so inconsistent, some time she can give the worst performance and sometimes she can knock you out with her histrionics. In Fashion, Priyanka was amazing
Best actor critics awards: Hrithik Roshan (Jodhaa Akbar) he took the biggest risk and it worked
Best actress critics award: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Jodhaa Akbar)
Best movie critics award: A Wednesday. Brilliant in all aspects.
Best supporting actor award: Arjun Rampal (Rock On). Added immense flavor to the film, a true Rockstar.
Best supporting actress award: Kangana Ranaut (Fashion) Kangana’s stoned act is always in Fashion!
Best actor in comic role: Abhishek Bachchan for Dostana. His character was totally in place.
Best actor in a villain’s role: Naseerudin Shah(A Wednesday!) We just loved it Naseer sir
Best male debut award: Imran Khan for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, at least that’s what every teen girl would vote for.
Best female debutant: Asin Thottumkal (Ghajini)
Best story: Rock On! All the way, we all wanted to be rock stars.
Best screenplay: Rock On!
Best choreography: Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na … trendsetter like the Macarena.
Best cinematography: Aamir
Best editing: Ghajini
Best sound: Jodhaa Akbar
Best action: Race
Best dialogue: A Wednesday! Tripping dialogues that sets the fast pace of the movie.
R.D.Burman award for upcoming talent: Rashid Ali (Kabhi Aditi)
Best male playback singer: K.K for Zara Sa (Jannat)
Best female playback singer: Shreya Goshal (Teri Or) Singh is Kinng
