“Earlier today at a routine doctor’s appointment, Michelle and I received the sad news that we lost the baby”, reported Jom Bob Duggar.

During this time, Jim Bob is asking for respect and privacy though many liberal sites have said that this was an ‘abortion from God’ due to the somehow controversial nature of two loving Christian parents having a large family.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy is set to retire over his degenerative knee problems, according to an article on ESPN.

The website said that unnamed sources said the announcement could come as early as today.
Earlier this week, Larry Miller, team president, told The Oregonian that Roy was expected to play this season.

Roy's chronically sore knees have been operated on six times, leaving him with bone-on-bone friction. The surgeries have diminished the skills that helped him win Rookie of the Year in 2007 and later become a three-time All Star.

FHM editor says Veena’s nude shoot authentic

MUMBAI: Neck-deep is controversy, Actress Veena Malik Friday emphatically denied laying herself bare for an Indian magazine as well as sporting an acronym reading 'ISI' tattooed on her arm, while the magazine editor insists the shoot was for real, Geo News reported.

The December issue of FHM India flashed Veena in the buff on its cover, which triggering an outrage in Pakistan - both for her nudity and the reference to country’s intelligence agency.

Following the controversy Veena voiced a negation of her posing for the FHM, categorically saying the picture was 'morphed'.

'I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. My manager and legal team are looking into the matter. We will take legal action against them,' Veena told media.

On the other hand vowing to prove the photo's authenticity FHM India's editor, Kabeer Sharma, told Geo News said that they had not photoshopped or morphed her image adding it was for real.

“No one can hold anything against the FHM as the girl on the cover page was Veena Malik and she can’t deny it”, said Sharma.

"We have video footage of the shoot as well as emails from Veena about how she's looking forward to the cover," Kabeer said.

“We have nothing to do with this controversy”, added he.
He said to us it was a workaday shoot –business as usual.

Replying to a question, he said the ISI tattoo idea was mine but it was Veena who pressed us to make it look like as it appeared on the cover.
He said that the image was intended to be playful, saying that: "In India we joke about this... if anything goes wrong... we say the ISI must be behind this."

9to5Mac points to an e24 article that spotlights Kittlaus, one of Siri’s four co-founders. The 44 year old Norwegian had his life turned upside down last year when he received a phone call from Apple regarding his company’s personal assistant software.

But the call wasn’t from just any executive, Steve Jobs himself was on the line to talk about a possible acquisition of Kittlaus’ team and their Siri technology. Kittlaus recalls his reaction to the call from the ex CEO (Norwegian translation):

“Of course it was a great moment when Steve Jobs called and wanted to buy my company. It was surreal. When I heard that it was him, I knew we had made it big. In advance, we were pretty confident that the technology we had developed was so startling that we would get some kind of breakthrough.

Steve was the first caller.”

Once the deal with Apple was complete, Kittlaus and team moved to Cupertino to continue their work on Siri at Apple’s headquarters. He spent 18 months working on the project before leaving the company in October — shortly after the iPhone 4S launched.

Perhaps the most interesting part of e24′s article is Kittlaus’ thoughts on working at Apple. He says that in his tenure with the company, he learned that the iPhone-makers weren’t motivated at all by money or profit. “They just desire to create fantastic products.”
